First-ever Fall Bash & Pumpkin Smash

Updated: Nov 4

Old Brownsville Farms is winding down the season with a day of fun for the whole family at the first-ever Fall Bash & Pumpkin Smash this Saturday with activities kicking off at noon.

Visitors are invited for an afternoon and evening packed with activities that celebrate all things autumn. Pumpkin games will include a pumpkin smash, pumpkin slingshot, pumpkin bowling and more. Guests will also be able to roast smores over fire pits beginning at 4 p.m. Smash passes can be purchased for $10/person or a 4-pack for $35.  Smash passes will include 1 pumpkin per person to get the fun started. Additional pumpkins can be purchased at $5/pumpkin or visitors can bring their own leftover pumpkins for even more fun.

Master gardener Ali Salisbury will lead a hands-on class on seed saving and preserving. Salisbury has 17 years of gardening experience, and she currently serves as a 4H extension agent for Crittenden County in Marion, Ark. She has spent the past 5 years focusing on seed saving, seed starting and urban rental gardening in East Memphis. Salisbury will demonstrate how to properly save and store seeds for next season. Old Brownsville Farms will also offer BOGO bouquets throughout the day.

“Fall is one of our favorite times of year on the farm,” said Judy Paine, owner of Old Brownsville Farms. “After the busy growing season, we wanted to give families a chance to come together, have fun, and learn a little along the way. Smashing pumpkins is a great way to wrap up the season, and it’s even better when you can do it with family and friends.”

Guests are encouraged to dress for messy outdoor fun. Tickets can be purchased at oldbrownsvillefarms.com/fall.
